Done and Done.

Am I the only one that's discovered that it is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to find a crisp white oxford shirt for a little girl?? No, seriously. I checked all of my fave children's stores, resale shops, the moon! And Nuthin' - Didn't find one anywhere. But when the Lord ordered my steps to this adorable Gymboree grass green sweater vest (for just a few bucks!), I knew - I KNEW - there was just no other article of clothing that belonged beneath this darling long-awaited addition to the wardrobe.

So what'd I do? Walked over to the boys' section, of course! (@ The Children's Place) Beautiful thing about a white oxford - besides being the embodiment of all that is preppy and crisp and clean in life (okay definitely an exaggeration, but I know you feel me) - white oxford shirts, especially when being placed under something, can go with just about anything on anyone.
And the best part? Since it came from the boys' section and she's bigger than her brother, I'll be able to hand it down to the little guy when he grows into that size!!
I do so love savvy shopping!
And speaking of Savvy Shopping....
Guess where I got that cute very basic go with some of everything khaki skirt?
Got it at the Good Will! Brand Spankin' New with tags still on it!! For like $4!!
(Oh how I'm grateful for the blessing of thrifting!)

I love getting staple items like khaki or blue jean skirts, white collared shirts, etc. It makes dressing them so much easier. And when you get them for a great price, it leaves you with a few dollars to go hunting for those special items and special touches that breathe life, personality, and flair into their wardrobe.

Though I really really like the green, I have to admit that putting the photos in sepia and black and white just really added umph and almost another dimension to so many of the photos this time around. The photo above is black and white everywhere but on the focal point - a focal point that I find kind of humorous, by the way. Clearly, there appears to be two very different emotions going on in this conversation. lol.

I love this picture of my beloveds, my daughter with her arm protectively around her brother, head tilted back in response to the breeze on her face.

AH Photography has definitely got it's niche.
"Capturing the Beauty of Children...Naturally"
As a mother, there's just something about photos that capture the essence - the natural expressions, mannerisms, and actions - of my children that pulls on my heartstrings and downright plays a concerto in a way that
posed studio pictures don't usually do.
